CONSIDER
THESE TWO SIGNIFICANT BUT OVERLOOKED FACTS OF LIFE.
ALTHOUGH
PEOPLE ARE PART OF NATURE:
1. ON AVERAGE, MEMBERS OF CONTEMPORARY
SOCIETY SPEND OVER 95% OF THEIR TIME
INDOORS,
SEPARATED
FROM NATURE.
2. HOW WE THINK AND FEEL SHAPES OUR
DESTINY. .DURING OUR LIFETIME,
ON AVERAGE,
OVER
99% OF OUR SENSING, THINKING AND FEELING
IS DISCONNECTED FROM NATURE AND ITS BALANCING, RESTORATIVE
POWERS.
Our daily
indoor survival pleasures reward us for thinking "normally,"
i.e., in nature disconnected ways. What results is our ability to thoughtfully
know and relate to natural systems is similar to what our ability
to read and write would be after trying to learn them for only
12 hours.
Our rewarded
but extreme
disconnection from nature and our biological
origins
there frustrates
our psyche and thinking. This additively produces lasting and
deteriorating sensory stress and resulting wants, discontents
and disorders. For example, no matter how rich or poor we be,
most of us say we need about 15% more money.
The addictive
disconnection
from nature of our thinking and feeling helps explain the persistent health,
emotional and relationship troubles we suffer. It also explains
our difficulty in recovering from them and our expensive dependence
on law enforcement, artificial medications and therapies and
excessive consumerism.
Our disconnection from
nature
prevents nature's powerful survival-in-balance energies from
entering and healing our thinking and feeling. This produces
the lack of passion that underlies our self-destructive lack
of participation in sustaining our and the environment's welfare.
"We can
reawaken something within ourselves that we, as a society, have
neglected or forgotten. In sharing WLI with my family, their
natural senses have been reawakened as well."

Since disconnecting
from nature is a source of many troubles, the organic nature-reconnecting
principles and activities in The Web of Life Imperative help you reverse these
troubles. This parallels the
beneficial results of organic food and gardening practices. It
explains why the process this book offers enables you to increase
your mental and physical wellness as well as contribute to the
welfare of your friends and the environment.
"I've
come to learn that my desire is not to run away from anything
but rather to go towards something that is so fundamental that
I wonder how people survive without doing it."

"I find
this new yet primordial way to reconnect with nature promotes
self-healing for addiction and for stress-related problems amongst
teenagers as they uncover the healing properties of nature with
their therapist. Together they learn how to listen to the many
voices of nature and to ignore the anger and frustration they
so often feel and voice."

Needs Intervention Coordinator and Teaching Specialist.
'I'm addicted to the
"positive reward" I get from connecting to nature and
have now made it a priority in my day, even if something that
I used to claim as "more important" doesn't get done."

"Great
to read the text. It is easy, profound and dancing like waves
into the next chapters. Thanks for your work. May god bless you."
Monika Lenz
"The level
of understanding, openness, caring, and desire to grow from each
single person was overwhelming."
